What's newSummer 2024: In this issue, National Parks magazine let me ask a thorny question--should we move species to save them from climate change? It's a strategy known as managed relocation or assisted migration, and some scientists think that would be opening a dangerous Pandora's box. Others see it as the only hope for plants and animals ranging from giant sequoias to bull trout. Reporting on scientific conundrums like this is one of the best parts of my job.
