April 2025: This one means a lot to me. I mean, who doesn't love trees? But I really love trees, and forests, and intact ecosystems in general, so it was such a privilege to report on the many people working to restore Colorado's wildfire-ravaged woods for 5280. The "reforestation pipeline" is long and varied, and faces challenges at every step, but still we put baby trees into the ground. It's a ray of hope. Read it.
